MUSICIAN INSIGHT Naomi Youngstein, violin
Education & Community Engagement Conductor Jeffrey Grogan invited young members of the audience onto the stage at NJPAC to experience the concert sitting alongside NJSO musicians. Violinist Naomi Youngstein reflected: “I think the kids who came on stage will never listen to an orchestra the same way again, for the rest of their lives. They got to hear the orchestra from the inside—I hope that’s what they get out of it.
"I think kids really liked hearing the loud percussion and brass on this program, the immediacy of it.
"When we played this same concert program for school groups, they reacted fabulously."
